Event Description:
The Government Affairs Committee with the Mitchell Area Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a Candidate Forum for the Mitchell City Council, Mayoral and School Board candidates. We invite the public to join us on Tuesday, May 18 at the Corn Palace beginning at 6:30 p.m. We will begin with City Council, followed by Mayoral and ending with School Board.

A candidate forum is a public event where candidates running for office are given the opportunity to express their positions on issues. All candidates for each race have been invited to participate.

Attendees will be able to pose questions to the candidates in general form that must be written down and given to the Media present for them to formally ask. Questions must be appropriate and may not be directed to one specific person. All candidates will be given the opportunity to answer each question.
