Iverson Auto of Mitchell is seeking a full-time Auto Service Technician to join our busy service department. If you have skills in basic maintenance, diagnosing and repairing of mechanical and electrical systems in automotives and/or light duty trucks, troubleshooting, problem-solving, time management, and customer service, we want to meet you!
Responsibilities
Diagnose mechanical problems in vehicles using manual and computerized diagnostic methods.
Test parts and systems to ensure proper function.
Adjust and reline brakes, align wheels, front ends, and suspension systems.
Service vehicles in a timely manner in accordance with manufacturer and dealership recommendations.
Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed of completed service work of if additional service may be necessary.
Document all work performed clearly and accurately.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Prior automotive maintenance, diagnosing, and repair experience.
Knowledge of automotive technology and related tools and equipment.
Diesel engine knowledge is a plus.
Positive attitude and take pride in high-quality work.
Dependable with excellent attendance record.
Excellent time management and attention and attention to detail.
Prefer a graduate of a two-year associate degree in auto mechanics or light diesel truck mechanics from a college or technical school or 2-3 years of related work experience.
Valid Driver's License.
Must have own tools.
Must have physical strength to routinely lift heavy engine parts and tools.
